83 Dead In Sehwan Sharif Blast

Death toll has risen to 83 in an apparent suicide attack on the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan Sharif last evening.

More than 340 people also injured in the terrorist attack.

According to Sindh health department 76 people are critically injured.

Seventy-five bodies have been shifted to Sehwan while five were taken to Nawabshah.

According to reports death toll is feared to rise as powerful explosion occurred inside the crowded premises of the shrine.

Some of the injured have been shifted to PNS Shifa hospital in Karachi through C-130 aircraft.

Witnesses said blast occurred when many people were gathered to watch traditional Dhamal.

Rescue teams immediately arrived at the blast scene and shifted the injured to the hospitals.

Jawans of Pakistan army and rangers joined the rescue efforts and transported injured and bodies to nearby hospitals.

Thousands of devotees were gathered on the occasion when the blast occurred on the Shrine of 12th century saint commonly known as Lal Shahbaz Qalnadar.
