Funeral Of Former UN Chief Kofi Annan

Ghana bid farewell to former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan in a state Funeral attended by African leaders and international statesmen who hailed his record as an advocate for humanity and world peace.

Annan, a Ghanaian national and noble peace prize laureate, died in a Swiss hospital last month at the age of 80. He was surrounded in his last days by his second wife Nane and children Ama, Kojo and Nina.

Annan's Coffin draped in Ghanaian national colours, has laid in state for public viewing ahead of the burial.

Several African leaders and U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres were amongst the mourners at the Funeral service.
