Chinese, Japanese Leaders Meet In Vladivostok
Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia.
Chinese State Television reported the two leaders agreed to continue to strengthen bilateral relations.
Abe said on Wednesday they had agreed to work towards an October visit by him to China, the latest sign of warming ties between the Asian rivals.
He also said he and xi shared the view that Japan and China bore responsibility for world peace and prosperity, as well as the goal of achieving North Korea's de-nuclearisation.
