Strong Winds Intensify Bushfires Burning On East Coast

Strong Winds intensified bushfires burning across much of the Australian State of New South Wales with the Rural Fire Service upgrading warnings on three of more than 70 fires to Emergency Level.

People living close to the out-of-control fire near Port Stephens were told to put their Bushfire Survival Plans into action.

Residents of Tabulam, a town in North-Eastern New South Wales were asked to Shelter in a solid structure as it was too dangerous to try to escape the Blaze.

Nearly 800 Firefighters were battling 73 blazes across the state.
