SAPM Firdous Ashiq Awan Talks To Media
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said, the government will not succumb to PML-N's pressure and the Government's condition of Indemnity Bond stands intact.
Addressing a News Conference in Islamabad, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan condemned PML-N leaders' response to government's offer to allow Nawaz Sharif to go Abroad for medical treatment after fulfilling legal modalities.
She termed PML-n's conduct as regrettable and shameful.
The Special Assistant to Prime Minister stated that Nawaz Sharif was convicted by the courts and not by the government.
She revealed that the PML-N Leadership committed to submit surety bonds but publically declined to do so.
Highlighting that there is no such precedent of removing convicted person's name from ECL, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said, the government facilitated nawaz sharif purely on humanitarian grounds without any pressure or political intent.
To a question, she said, the courts never convicted Pervez Musharraf and Zulfi bukhari.
