An air strike and car bomb killed at least 50 people and injured over 120 in Eastern and Southern Afghanistan.
The car bomb attack targeting an intelligence services building in the southern city of Qalat left at least 20 people dead and 95 wounded.
The injured of the blast were taken to a hospital in Kandahar.
Governor of Zabul Province Rahmatullah Yarmal said a car bomb targeted the national directorate of security. He said the regional hospital of Zabul was also destroyed in the blast.
Taliban have claimed the attack saying it was against the national directorate of security.
Meanwhile, at least 30 civilians were killed and 40 injured in an air raid conducted by the afghan security forces, backed by us air support, in Eastern Afghanistan.
The government officials told Reuters News Agency that the attack, on Wednesday night was aimed at destroying a hideout used by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant Group Fighters, but it accidentally targeted farmers near a field in Wazir Tangi area of Khogyani district in Nangarhar province.
The Defence Ministry in Kabul confirmed the strike, but refused to share casualty details immediately.
