FM Qureshi In London

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi met British Secretary of State for International Development Rory Stewart in London and discussed bilateral relations.

Qureshi said PTI government is pursuing the agenda of social and economic development and comprehensive reforms are being introduced for the development of basic infrastructure.

He said Pakistan wants to further strengthen trade and economic ties with the United Kingdom.

He said that UK's department for international development has contributed voluble services in Pakistan's health and education sector and we want to further strengthen these.

The British Secretary assured all possible assistance in the concerned fields.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also called on his British counterpart Jeremy Hunt. Bilateral ties, matters of mutual interest including regional and international matters were discussed. Strategic partnership and exchange of high level delegations were also discussed.

Both agree to enhance cooperation in trade, culture, education, tourism and security
