Magsi Urges BNP Leader Akhtar Mengal to Reconsider Protest Strategy, Stresses State's Responsibility in Balochistan's Issues

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi Tuesday said that the issues facing Balochistan cannot be resolved through sit-ins and protests.

This he said during a press conference alongside leaders from the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).

Magsi emphasized that while politics is a continuous process, the state should not be viewed as weak.

Expressing concern about the province’s current situation, Magsi called on BNP leader Akhtar Mengal to return to the negotiating table and reconsider the protest approach.

“Our brothers should think about the welfare of the people,” said the federal minister.

He added that both the provincial government and the state are taking steps to assert their authority while working to address the concerns of the public.

"Politics will continue, but the state will fulfill its responsibilities," he assured.

During the press conference, Magsi revealed that Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani had recently met with Akhtar Mengal, and that he too had reached out to him.

He pointed out that political circumstances are constantly changing and encouraged Mengal to reassess his decisions in light of the evolving situation.
