ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier: Pakistan Defeats West Indies by 65 Runs

LAHORE: In a crucial match of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, the Pakistan women’s team delivered a remarkable bowling performance to defeat the West Indies by 65 runs. This marks Pakistan’s third consecutive victory in the qualifier stage.
After winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bat first and were bowled out for 191 runs in 49.5 overs, setting a target of 192 for the West Indies.
In response, the entire West Indies team was dismissed for 126 runs in 39.2 overs. From the West Indies side, Aaliyah Alleyne scored 22, Shabika Gajnabi 21, Jannillea Glasgow 18, and Stafanie Taylor 17 runs.
For Pakistan, Fatima Sana was the standout bowler with 3 wickets. Nashra Sandhu and Rameen Shamim took 2 wickets each, while Sadia Iqbal claimed 1 wicket.
This victory has further boosted Pakistan’s confidence and strengthened their position in the qualifier round.
