China has sent a New Test Satellite for Communication Technology into space from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The satellite is being carried by a Long March-3b Rocket which has entered the planned orbit, marking the success of the launch.
The satellite will be mainly used to validate multi-band and High-Speed Communication Technology, the launch center said.
This launch is the 562nd mission of the long march carrier rocket series.
