COP29 Summit In Baku : PM To Make A Robust Call For Climate Solidarity
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif who is in Baku, Azerbaijan to participate in the climate action summit will have a busy day today.
The Prime Minister will attend the opening session of the 29th conference of the parties on climate action.
He will also host the climate finance roundtable conference organized by pakistan, which will be attended by several global leaders.
During this, the prime minister will highlight the challenges faced by developing countries, particularly Pakistan, which contributes minimally to the emission of toxic and polluting gases but is severely impacted by the adverse effects of climate change.
Additionally, the prime minister will participate in a high-level event on "glaciers 2025: actions for glaciers" organized by Tajik President his excellency Emomali Rahmon for the protection of glaciers.
The Prime Minister will also hold separate meetings with the prime ministers of Denmark and the Czech republic, who have come to attend cop-29. These discussions will not only focus on enhancing bilateral relations but also on shedding light on the climate change risks faced by Pakistan.
