Pakistan Win Series In Australia After 22 Years : Pakistan Beat Aussies By 8 Wickets In 3rd ODI To Clinch Series 2-1
Pakistan clinched one day international series in Australia after 22 years, beating Kangroos by eight wickets in the third one Dayer in Perth to clinch series 2-1.
Pakistani pace bowlers performed brilliantly once again as Australia bowled out for 140 runs in 31.5 overs.
Sean Abbott remained top scorer for Australia with 30 runs while Matthew short added 22 runs.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah bagged three wickets each while Haris Rauf took two wickets. Mohammad Hasnain picked one wicket.
In reply Pakistan achieved the 141-run target for the loss of two wickets in 26.5 overs.
Openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique provide 84 runs stand for the first wicket.
Saim Ayub made 42 runs with the help of four fours and one six while Shafique made 37, hitting one four and one six.
Skipper Mohammad Rizwan chipped in with unbeaten 30 runs, hitting two sixes and one four. Star batter Babar Azam scored 28 not out and hit the winning run.
For Australia, Lance Morris took two wickets.
Haris Rauf declared player of the match and player of the series on his superb bowling.
Pakistan round out their tour down under with three twenty20 internationals starting in Brisbane on Thursday.
