Progress & Development : SIFC-Backed White Oil Pipeline To Cut Costs, Save Billions
The Special Investment Facilitation Council has backed the white oil pipeline project, a significant step in Pakistan’s Energy Infrastructure. An agreement has been reached for the 477 km Macheke-Thalian-Turujba pipeline, led by Pakistan state oil, parkway, and interstate gas system under the frontier works organization.
The pipeline will connect Machike-thalian and Thalian-Turujba, running parallel to the motorway, and link to Attock refinery, Chak Pirana, and Faqirabad.
The pipeline will also link to Attock Refinery, Chak Pirana, and Faqirabad.
It aims to ensure a steady oil supply, reduce costs, and save billions. Initially, it will have a capacity of 7 million Tonnes per annum, expandable to 10 million Tonnes.
The project will decrease reliance on road transport, reduce environmental impact, and improve oil distribution efficiency
