Embassy of Austria in Islamabad arranged a special musical evening in the form of a fusion concert with amalgamation of Pakistani and western music. The event was hosted by Ambassador of Austria to Pakistan Mrs. Andrea Wicke and her spouse Venzislav Wicke.

Ambassador Andrea Wicke introduced the performers and spoke about the importance of music as the bridge builder between different countries and civilizations.

Austrian music performer Esad Halilovic was on drums and managed to intertwine the spiritual depth of Sufism in company with the Pakistani performers, which led to a harmonious fusion transcending borders and cultures.

Arieb Azhar was on guitar and vocals, Akmal Qadri on flute, Kashif Ali Dani on Tabla, while Muzammil Hussain on Sarod.

Musical performances of the musicians enthralled the audience which comprised of diplomats, representatives of social and corporate sectors and other dignitaries.
