Ustad Juman Remembered: Death Anniversary Of Classical Singer Being Observed
The death anniversary of renowned Pakistani musician and classical singer Ustad Muhammad Juman is being observed today.
He was born in the village of Sorra, Balochistan. He was fond of music and started career from radio Pakistan in Karachi as a fiddler. Later, he started a program on Radio Pakistan in Hyderabad.
He received his music education from Ustad Nazir Hussain and Barray Waheed Ali Khan, experienced in Bhittai's Sur.
He sung of thousands songs in Urdu, Sindhi and Saraiki languages.
Ustad Muhammad Juman received several awards, including pride of performance, Shah Abdul Latif and Sachal Sarmast Award.
Juman died on January 24, 1990 in Karachi.
