China Welcomes Return Of Giant Pandas From Overseas In 2023
China has welcomed a total of 17 giant pandas back home from various countries around the world in 2023.
So far, 18 countries and 20 institutions are cooperating with china on protecting the beloved bears, with a total of 56 giant pandas now living abroad.
According to the China conservation and research center for the giant panda, a total of 32 panda cubs have been born and survived overseas, of which 22 have since returned to China.
The 17 pandas which have returned to china this year have come from Japan, America, France, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Britain and Germany.
