Monkey Buffet Festival: Thailand Offers Banquet For Monkeys To Boost Tourists

The annual feast for thousands of monkeys in Thailand's Lopburi province kicked off with plates of fresh fruits, vegetables and dessert laid out for them.

Climbing over organizers and tourists, thousands of macaques clamored to snatch their favorites treats consisting of durians, mangoes, banana, watermelon, mangos teen, oranges and guava worth over 8,477 dollars.

The festival, led by local businessman is now in its 35th year to help boost tourism in the province, which is home to the 10th-century old temple.
