Japanese scholars and government are keenly working to promote Urdu literature and language in Japan. The poetry of Allama Iqbal has been translated into Japanese language whereas a Japanese language course has been launched for the students of Pakistan Steel Cadet College Karachi which will further strengthen the bilateral friendship between Pakistan and Japan.

A seminar on Japanese contribution for promotion of Urdu literature with special reference to Allama Mohammad Iqbal's works was held attended by the acting consul general of Japan in Karachi.
