Human Rights Violations. US Impose Unilateral Sanctions, Leading To Systemic: Spokesman
The Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Wang Wenbin has sad in Beijing that the U.S. and its Western Allies should be held accountable for the systemic human rights violations triggered by their unilateral sanctions.
In addition, at the ongoing 52nd session of the UN Human Rights Council, Michael Fakhri, UN Special Rapporteur On Right To Food, said that the imposition of unilateral coercive measures by some countries violates human rights and undermines the ability of countries subject to such measures to cope with the food crisis.
When asked to comment on the issue, Wang said at a press briefing that UN Special Rapporteurs' concerns deserve international attention, as the unilateral sanctions by the U.S. and some other Western countries have inflicted great harm on the sanctioned countries.
