Bilawal Addresses CFR In New York: Pakistan Would Not Seek Any Aid But Climate Justice
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Pakistan could face new weather patterns in the wake of climate change and it has to adapt itself to these new realities.
Addressing Council For Foreign Relations In New York, he said Pakistan had hardly managed to secure some small economic relief from the international monetary fund but that too was washed away by the devastating floods.
He said Pakistan would not seek any aid but climate justice following catastrophic floods. But the world must realize that Pakistan only contributes 0.8 percent of carbon emissions of the whole world.
The foreign minister said Pakistan has to undertake a gigantic task to rebuild the infrastructure damaged by the floods.
