Key Cities Seeing 'Most Difficult' Fighting: Zelenskiy

Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelenskiy has said that two key cities in Eastern Ukraine were witnessing the "most difficult" fighting, as Russian forces intensified pressure in the area and captured territory along a frontline river.

During an evening address, Zelenskiy said we are defending Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk with the whole area.

He said, the most difficult fighting is being faced in these areas, after predicting Moscow would escalate attacks ahead of an EU Summit expected to welcome Kyiv's bid to join the bloc.

The governor of Ukraine's Luhansk region said Russian forces controlled most of the city of Sievierodonetsk, apart from the Azot Chemical Plant, where hundreds of civilians have been sheltering for weeks.
