COAS Meeting With Iranian Army Chief : Two Sides Agree To Deepen Defense Ties, Fight Terrorism
Pakistani and Iranian Military leadership have agreed to further enhance defense cooperation and work together for regional peace and unified response to terrorism.
This agreement was reached out at a meeting between Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Major General Mohammad Baaqeri at GHQ.
Army Chief remarked that Pakistan and Iran are two brotherly countries and our close cooperation is vital for regional peace and stability.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues including Afghanistan situation, regional security and border management particularly fencing along Pak-Iran border were discussed .
On arrival, the Iranian CGS was presented guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army. The visiting dignitary laid floral wreath at Martyrs monument and prayed for martyrs of Pakistan.
