Arshad's Hopes For Medal Over : Javelineer Arshad Nadeem Finishes Fifth In The Final

Pakistan's Javelineer Arshad Nadeem's hopes for a medal in Tokyo ran a ground after he finished six in the final round.

Arshad's first attempt went 82.40 meter while his second throw was wasted after he stepped over the line committing a foul.

Arshad was at number six at the end of two attempts of round one but he raised hopes of compatriots back home when his third attempt yielded 84.62 meter in round-two earning him a fourth place and catapulting him into final round of eight.

Arshad's first attempt in the final round landed at 82.91 meters and second 81.98 meters dropping to fifth from fourth.

Sadly, his last attempt was disqualified sending him out of the medal race. At the end India won gold and both silver and bronze went to Czech Republic's Athletes.
