Devastating Flooding : Death Toll Rises To 171 In Flood-Gutted Western Germany
The Devastating flooding in Western Germany has killed at least 171 people.
According to official data, in Rhineland-Palatinate's Ahrweiler, the region hardest hit by the fatal floods, death has mounted to 122. More than 763 people have been injured while a further 155 people are still missing or remain unreachable.
Meanwhile, the flood-battered north Rhine-Westphalia is also facing a dire situation with 48 people dead so far, while Bavaria lost at least one person to the catastrophe.
With the flood now ebbing and rebuilding underway, many people fear that the death toll is likely to continue climbing.
