Army Troops Deployed To Assist The Civil Administration: DG ISPR

Pakistan Army has been deployed all across the country to assist the civil administration as emergency responders under article 245 of the constitution.

Briefing on deployment of troops of Pakistan Army in Rawalpindi, Director General Inter Services Public Relations, Major General Babar Iftikhar, said, the troops deployment complemented at 6:00 am at district level.

He said, Pakistan Army will not claim any internal security allowance and added that all provincial apex committees will meet once a week to review the overall situation specially areas of high COVID-19 positivity and devise a policy.

Major General Babar Iftikhar highlighted that 75 percent oxygen of the total production has been diverted to hospitals. He feared that the oxygen being supplied to the industry will have to be diverted to medical sector if current situation of corona positivity continues to persist.

He said, the third wave is more deadly than the previous two waves that has brought the existing health care infrastructure under stress.
