Prime Minister Imran Khan said, soft loans to fishermen will transform their lives and fulfil PTI government's promise to alleviate poverty.

Addressing the MOU signing ceremony between the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and four banks under Kamyab Jawan Programme in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's struggle for over two decades aims to improve the lives of the common people by ending poverty.

He underscored that loans will increase the income of fishermen as they will be provided with onshore freezers and boats.

The Prime Minister said banks are the engine of growth for the national economy and lauded the four banks for stepping forward to provide loans to the fishermen.

He highlighted that the recent undp report noted that the rich-poor gap reduced in khyber pakhtunkwa during 2013 to 2018 under P.T.I's government in the province.
