PM Chairs Federal Cabinet Meeting
Federal government has invited the main opposition parties including PML-N, PPP and JUI-F to hold talks on political reforms in the country.
Briefing the newsmen in Islamabad about Federal Cabinet decisions, Federal Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhry said, the government will hold these talks separately with each of the three political parties as P.D.M. Has died down.
On COVID situation, the Minister said, Federal Cabinet constituted a committee chaired by Ali Haider Zaidi for the import of corona vaccine.
He emphasized that the third wave of COVID-19 is turning more dangerous as forty two hundred people are in critical condition in different hospitals of the country.
Fawad Hussain said, Federal Minister Asad Umar briefed the Cabinet about Corona situation in the country.
He said, the Cabinet accorded approval to deploy rangers in important cities including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Jhelum and Bahawapur in the wake of law and order situation.
On economic situation, he said, the inflation is gradually decreasing and all other economic indicators are showing positive trajectory.
He said, the exports have witnessed increase during this year while remittances have gown up which reflects overseas Pakistanis' confidence in Imran Khan's government.
To a question, the Minister said, the ongoing protests have hindered supply of oxygen cylinders to the critical corona patients,
He said, people have the right to protest and present their demands but no group of people can dictate policies to the government.
