Mexico Blaze : Millions Affected As Metro Grounds Trains

There was not much social distancing happening in Mexico city's public transport system, after a fire in the Capital's Metro System grounded a number of trains.

Commuters scrambled to catch other forms of public transport after six lines of the capital's Metro System stopped working following a fire.

With a population of over 20 million people, Mexico City's Metro System reportedly transports some 5 million people daily. And with fares at an affordable 5 pesos, it is a popular means for the city's working class to get to their jobs.

Stranded commuters lamented that the public buses were a breeding ground for the spread of Covid-19 in the Capital.
