Nation Marks Quaid's Birth Anniversary
The Nation celebrates the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with renewed commitment to work hard for progress and prosperity of the country. It is public holiday today. An impressive change of Guard ceremony was held at Quaid's Mausoleum in Karachi.
A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul assumed the Guards' Duty from Pakistan Air Force.
Commandant Pakistan Military Academy, Major General Umar Ahmed Bukhari graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest reviewed the parade and presented salute.
The Pakistan Military Academy has the singular honour of being the only Military institution designated as “Quaid-e-Azam’s own” by the Quaid as its Colonel-in-Chief.
A large number of Senior Armed Forces officers and guests witnessed the parade.
The Guard mounting ceremony by PMA Cadets is a regular feature to pay homage to the father of the Nation.
Later, the Chief Guest offered Fatiha and laid floral wreath at the mausoleum.
He also recorded his remarks in the visitors book.
