PM Addresses Public Meeting In Chitral

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced to make Lowari Tunnel operation in June next year which will connect district Chitral with the rest of the country.

Addressing a huge public meeting in Chitral, the Prime Minister said the government is spending 27 billion rupees on the Lowari Tunnel project.

Nawaz Sharif also announced the establishment of university and a 250-bed hospital in Chitral.

The Prime Minister said he will personally supervise the establishment of the university.

He further said that new power transmission line will be laid for the area.

The Golan Gole power project will produce 108 megawatt electricity.

The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment for the development of the area by allocating eight billion rupees for uplift projects in Chitral and an additional 17 billion rupees for road infrastructure projects.

He said PML-N believes in democratic values and respect mandate of each party in their respective province.

Nawaz Sharif said the masses have rejected the politics of agitation and confrontation.

Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated the expansion project of Boni-Bozand Torko road.

The 25 kilometer road will be built at a cost of one point 11 billion rupees.
