Sri Lanka Tour Of Pakistan: First Of 3 ODIs Today

Heavy rain has delayed the toss in the first one day international between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Karachi.

PTV Sports is telecasting the home series live.

The trophy unveiling ceremony was held at National Stadium Karachi. Both captains take pose with the trophy.

Pakistan, hosting its first one-day international in more than four years, will hope to treat the home crowd with a complete performance.

After a disappointing world cup campaign, Pakistan, under their new coach Misbah-ul-Haq, and with new faces in the squad, appear to be a motivated lot. They have focused on fitness in the run-up to the series and go into the series with confidence.

This will be the first ODI at national stadium in Karachi since the same two sides met here in January 2009, ten years ago.

Pakistan has dominated sri Lanka in the recent past winning nine of the last 11 matches between the two teams including all of the last six.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play three one day internationals in Karachi while three T-20 matches will be played in Lahore.
