Germany Wins Women's Soccer Gold In Rio
Germany won their first ever Olympic gold medal in women's football with beating Sweden by 2-1.
The number two ranked Germans scored two goals in the second half with Dzsenifer Marozsan's strike and Lisa Sembrant's goal that put Germany with 2-nil up early in the second-half
The win was a perfect farewell for German coach Silvia Neid, who was managing the side in her last match.
Germany missed out on the Olympics in 2012 but won the bronze the last three times they played, in 2000, 2004 and 2008.
