The Christian community is celebrating Easter today across Pakistan with special prayers of peace and prosperity for the country.
Prime Minister Imran Khan greeted Christian community on Easter.
In a tweet message, the Prime Minister wished all Christian citizens a happy Easter.
The services are being conducted in various part of the country. Easter masses included special prayers, the lighting of candles and hymns.
Strict security arrangements have been put in place at churches across Pakistan to ensure that no untoward incident takes place.
Easter mass held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Rawalpindi.
Addressing the Easter service, archbishop of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Dr. Joseph Arshad said Jesus Christ gave message of love, peace and hope.
The archbishop said harmony and tolerance is need of the hour.
On the occasion, special prayers offered for peace and prosperity of country.
The special prayers also offered for those who laid their lives in war on terror.
