FM Qureshi Addresses A News Conference
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said the fourteen people martyred in a terrorist attack near Hangol National Park Ormara, included 10 Navy Personnel, 3 Air Force and one Coast Guard.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, the Foreign Minister said the B.R.A. Has taken responsibility for the attack and the Organisation's training camps are located at the Iranian border area.
The Foreign Minister said he has spoken to the Iranian Foreign Minister and has conveyed the sorrow and anger of the Pakistani people over the recent incident.
Qureshi expressed the hope the Iran will take visible action against anti-Pakistan elements that are operating on the border and conspiring against relations between both countries.
Qureshi said the Iranian Foreign Minister has “strongly condemned the incident and reassured full cooperation”.
He said B.R.A. Footprints are also in Afghanistan.
The Foreign Minister said due to the sensitivity of the border, six steps have already been taken to make the border more peaceful.
These steps include setting up of a new southern command in Turbat for vigilance and prompt action.
Iran and Pakistan have also with established joint border centers.
Qureshi said border fencing, similar to that of Afghanistan and Pakistan is also being done.
He said Pakistan wants to establish brotherly ties with all its neighbours.
