PM Launches Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme In Islamabad

Prime Minister Imran Khan has officially launched the Federal Government's Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.

One hundred and thirty five thousand Houses will be built in the first phase of what is one of Federal Government's flagship projects.

In the initial phase of the scheme, 110,000 housing units will be constructed in Balochistan for the Fishermen of Gwadar, whereas 25,000 units will be built in Islamabad for government employees.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said his government holds the vision of making Pakistan a Modern Welfare Islamic Country.

Speaking at the inauguration of Naya Pakistan Housing Programme Imran Khan said that a small minority of statuesque who were the ultimate beneficiary of former system are putting obstacle to change.

The Premier said that his government wants to build 5 Million homes for the lower strata.

He said as many as forty percent of Karachi lives in the informal settlement.

The premier said he want to take ahead the lower strata ahead.

The Scheme is launched at an event held in Islamabad where housing and works Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, Finance Minister Asad Umar and various other government officials were also present.
