Sudan's Transitional Council Cancels Curfew

Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan's Transitional Military Council, announced the cancellation of the curfew.

In a statement aired live on official Sudan TV, Al-Burhan announced the cancellation of the curfew and the release of all people tried by the emergency law.

He also declared the dismissal of all states' military governors and the assignments of commanders of the military to areas in the states.

The chairman voiced his commitment to forming a two-year transitional civilian government to run the affairs of the country.
