Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani says government would take every possible step for provision of relief to the people as promised by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Speaking at the stone-laying ceremony of Kala Shah Kaku Toll Plaza at Shahdrah near Lahore‚ he said Pakistan Peoples Party is the only ideological party of the country. Its workers‚ including labourers‚ farmers and women‚ sacrificed their lives for the cause of democracy. He said the PPP actively took part in the lawyers' movement for the restoration of judges and the government reinstated the deposed judges after coming into power. Premier Gilani said the government boycotted the Bonn Conference‚ got vacated Shamsi Airbase and stopped the supply of NATO forces from Pakistan to Afghanistan in the larger interest of the country. He announced of Benazir Housing Colony in Nankana Sahib.
