Pakistan Stock Exchange Ends Low

Pakistan Stock Exchange ends low with 4.65 percent to 44122.87 with high and low of 46273.81 and 44117.17 respectively.

Several index names, as well as mid-tier shares, hit the lower lock of 5 per cent as the stock market came under immense selling pressure.

Analysts and market talk suggest that stocks are likely to remain under pressure until there is some sort of clarity on the political front.

In sector wise trade commercial banks sector is on top with 17.1 percent followed by power generation and distribution with 11.8 percent while engineering remained on 11.3 percent.

The stock market has been under pressure recently for several reasons including profit-taking post msci inclusion and correction due to anti-budget measures. However, investor sentiment has also taken a hit due to uncertainty as the sitting government battles panama issue.

Out of total trading 366 companies 22 advanced 335 declined while 9 remained unchanged.
