NEC Reviewing Achievements Of Annual Development Plan

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the national economic indicators are showing positive signs as world acknowledges Pakistan's fast growing economy.

Addressing the National Economic Council meeting in Islamabad he said the provincial share in PSDP has been increased 3 folds in the upcoming budget.

Prime Minister said uninterrupted as well as affordable electricity is government's top priority.

He said in order to achieve this goal, government is focusing on LNG, coal, hydel, solar and wind energy projects.

Prime Minister further said that infrastructure development is key to progress which is why the federal government is building road and communication networks.

He warned the critics not to politicize development projects as Pakistan's development is everyone's prosperity.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reiterated his resolve to adopt people centric approach to development by focusing on projects of health, education and rural projects.

He said that during belt and road forum in China all chief ministers accompanied him and the world saw that Pakistan unanimously stands for development and it was a very positive message that we are untied.

The NEC meeting is expected to approve the annual development plan for the next financial year besides reviewing the achievements of the on-going plan.

The annual plan coordination committee has already recommended to the NEC development programme worth 2113 billion rupees for the next financial year.

The meeting is being attended amongst others by the Federal and Provincial Ministers, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Provincial Chief Ministers and the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir.
