Protesters, Security Forces Face Off In Eastern Caracas

Hundreds of anti-government protesters faced off with Venezuelan security forces across Caracas amid a new wave of anti-government protests that have resulted in three deaths and dozens of injuries.

Violence marked the second day of unrest in the Venezuelan capital.

Demonstrators gathered at 26 points around the capital to try to push towards the ombudsman's office to ask the head of the office to support the opposition-controlled parliament's initiative to remove seven Supreme Court justices.

Lawmakers accuse the seven justices of staging a "Coup D'etat" against the country's constitution.
