Hong Kong Stocks End Morning With Gains

Hong Kong Stocks rose today morning following a record close on Wall Street as investors welcomed comments from US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin saying he would unveil a promised tax cut plan soon.

The Hang Seng Index rose 0.08 percent to 24,075.16 points. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched up 0.07 percent to 3,174.4 points.

The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, also was up 0.07 percent at 1,930.12 points.
