Tokyo Shares Drop By Noon After US Strike On Afghanistan

Tokyo shares drifted lower today morning on rising geopolitical fears after the US Military dropped a massive bomb in Afghanistan, adding to global tensions over the Middle East and the Korean Peninsula.

Tokyo's Benchmark Nikkei 225 Index fell 0.34 percent to 18,364.68 points by the lunch break, while the Topix Index of all first-section issues lost 0.51 percent to 1,460.89 points.
