PM Orders Reopening Of Pak-Afghan Border

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered immediate reopening of Pak-Afghan Border. Pakistan’s Border with Afghanistan was closed almost a month ago in aftermath of suicide bombing at Shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sindh and Charing Cross Lahore.

Pointing links of recent terror attacks being traced to Afghanistan, Prime Minister said Pakistan is reopening the border as a goodwill gesture.

Expressing hope that afghan government would address Pakistan's grievances that led to closure of border, Nawaz Sharif said cooperation with Afghanistan to eliminate terrorism would continue.

Pointing religious, traditional and historical ties between two countries, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said closure of border was affecting trade and movement of people.
