Indus Water Treaty Meeting

The first round of Two-Day Meeting of Indus Water Commission between Pakistan and India held in Islamabad .

Ten-member Indian Delegation led by Indus Water Commissioner Pk Saxena arrived in Lahore via Wagah Border on Sunday to attend the meeting.

The Indus Water Commission which is mandated to meet at least once every year, alternately in Pakistan and India, comprises Indus Commissioners from both sides and discusses technical matters related to the implementation of the Indus Water Treaty.

India has fast-tracked the construction of Hydropower Projects worth 15 Billion Dollars in Occupied Kashmir and is disrupting Water supplies to Pakistan.
