PSL Spot Fixing Scandal

The problems for Pakistan Cricketer Shahzaib Hasan are increased even more as an independent adjudicator has increased his ban to four years in the spot-fixing probe.

He was earlier banned for 1 year and fined Rs one million by Pakistan Cricket Board’s anti-corruption tribunal earlier this year for his involvement in the spot-fixing scandal in Pakistan Super League 2017.

Shahzaib had appealed against the fine of Rs one million which was heard by Justice (Retd) Hamid Hasan. But it has badly gone against him as the fine was maintained and the ban was increased four times. The cricketer has already served a year’s ban and will stay away from the game for three years.

He was the fifth player to be sidelined due to the connection in the spot-fixing along with Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan and fast bowler Mohammad Irfan and all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz.
