SC Accepts Khadija Saddiqui's Appeal For Regular Hearing
In another development, a Supreme Court's division bench led by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa accepted Khadija Saddiqui's appeal for regular hearing.
Khadija had appealed against the Lahore High Court's single bench's decision to acquit her alleged attacker Shah Hussain, who was convicted by a judicial magistrate on 29th July 2017 for stabbing her 23 times.
Shah now has been ordered by the apex court to attend the hearings and post bond of one hundred thousand rupees. The hearings will begin at the Supreme Court Lahore Registry after the summer holidays.
