Russian Paintings, Icons On Display In Moscow Ahead Of Auction

Art lovers gathered in Moscow for a chance to see famous Russian paintings on display before they are auctioned off by Sotheby's in London next month.

Among the 20 items exhibited was a rare watercolor piece by Kazimir Malevich called "the secret of temptation".

This was painted in 1908 during Malevich's brief simplest period.

Another masterpiece shown was the "Excelsior" by Pavel Tchelitche.

The art piece, painted in 1934, belongs to music producer Seymour Stein, who discovered artists including Madonna and Lenny Kravitz.
