2017: A Remarkable Year For Pakistan Cricket Team: Najam Sehti

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi said that the year 2017 was remarkable year for Pakistan cricket team as they achieved new milestones in the last year.

Najam Sethi said that first Pakistan became number one Test playing nation after topping the ICC Test rankings and then winning the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy was the best thing in Pakistan cricket history.

Interestingly, Pakistan thrashed arch-rivals India at the oval ground, London to clinch the coveted trophy.

PCB Chief said that Pakistan Super League final in Lahore and world eleven tour to Pakistan opened the gates of international cricket in Pakistan.

Sri Lankan cricket team also visit Pakistan for T20 match.

Pakistan played 18 ODIs in 2017 and won 12 including 5-0 whitewash against Sri Lanka with Babar Azam scoring 872 runs with 4 tons in ODIs and 352 runs in t20s, while Hassan Ali becoming first Pakistani bowler since 1996 to claim no 1 spot in ICC ODI bowling rankings.
