No One Will Be Allowed To Disrupt Peace: Interior Minister

Interior Minister Ahsen Iqbal has said no one will be allowed to disrupt the peace in Pakistan.

Addressing a ceremony of anti-riot police force at police lines Islamabad, Interior Minister Ahsen Iqbal said the government will allow anyone to instigate violence in garb of protest.

He underlined the importance of effective police force in maintaining social order.

Ahsen Iqbal said in order to meet emerging challenges, the first contingent of rapid response force of Islamabad police will roll out in the next week.

He said the rapid response force will comprise of 1000 personnel from Islamabad police.

Ahsen Iqbal said Islamabad safe city project will be further expanded while also ensuring the safety of police personnel through provision of protective gear and equipment, including armored personal carriers.

The Interior Minister said Pakistan has offered more sacrifices in war against terror than any other country and is striving for peace in the region.
