Hearing Of References Against Sharif Family In NAB Court

The Accountability Court Islamabad has given exemption to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz from appearing in person before the court.

The accountability Judge Mohammad Bashir gave Nawaz Sharif a week's exemption starting from 20th November while granting a month's exemption to Maryam Nawaz.

Their representatives will appear on their behalf during their absence.

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son in law Captain Retired Safdar appeared before the accountability court as the trial formally began today.

Two prosecution witnesses, Sidra Mansoor from security and exchange commission and Jahanzeb Ahmed from federal board of revenue, recorded their statements and cross examined by defense counsel Khawaja Harris.

Sidra Mansoor submitted record of Hudaibya Paper Mills before the judge.

Four more prosecution witnesses have been summoned on next date of hearing on 22nd November.
